A gruesome discovery was made in the forest between Suków and Borków in Kielce County.
On Friday evening, a passerby stumbled upon the body of a 45-year-old woman.
Police have already identified the deceased, and investigators are working to clarify the circumstances of her death.
Woman’s body found dozens of meters from forest road
The grim discovery occurred on Friday, June 12, shortly after 6:00 PM. A walker called emergency services after coming across the woman’s body while strolling through the woods. The body was lying on a forest track, approximately 50 meters from the road running between Suków and Borków. Investigative police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to secure evidence and establish the circumstances of the incident.
“A woman’s body was found on a forest track, about 50 meters from the road between Suków and Borków. Investigative officers were immediately sent to the scene,” stated Senior Warrant Officer Jacek Borek, press officer for the Kielce Municipal Police, as quoted by TVP 3 Kielce.
Officers worked under the supervision of a prosecutor, who coordinated the on-site operations from the very beginning.
According to information provided by the authorities, the doctor summoned to the scene could not conclusively determine the cause of death due to the partial decomposition of the body. In such situations, determining the immediate circumstances of death requires detailed medical examinations. At this stage of the proceedings, the police are not disclosing any hypotheses regarding the 45-year-old woman’s death, emphasizing that all circumstances are currently under investigation.

Deceased woman identified; family had not reported her missing
Police have successfully identified the woman whose body was found. According to the authorities, the deceased was 45 years old and lived in a nearby town. Investigators have also gathered information regarding her final days.
According to police findings reported by TVP 3 Kielce, the woman was last seen by her family about three days before her body was discovered. Despite the passage of time, her relatives had not reported her missing. Information from the police and the Fakt newspaper indicates that she had previously left home without notice and stayed away for several days. However, she had always previously contacted her family or returned home, so her absence did not initially raise alarm.
Officers are currently analyzing all available information, including accounts from people in the 45-year-old woman’s immediate circle.
At this stage of the investigation, authorities are not releasing specific details regarding the ongoing proceedings.

Autopsy to provide answers for investigators

Police officers will analyze collected evidence, interview individuals who may have knowledge of the woman’s final days, and verify information regarding her activities prior to her disappearance. Only by cross-referencing the autopsy results with the rest of the evidence will investigators be able to reconstruct the sequence of events.
