On the evening of August 8, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on provincial road No. 267 in the village of Witowo Kolonia (Bytoń municipality).

A passenger car struck a roadside tree.

Fire service units were dispatched to the scene.

Upon the arrival of emergency services, the area was secured, and operations began with stabilizing the vehicle.

Firefighters then proceeded to extricate the injured person using specialized hydraulic rescue equipment. The injured individual was subsequently handed over to an emergency medical team. Firefighters also secured a landing zone for the Air Ambulance Service helicopter, which had been summoned to the scene. Provincial road No. 267 was completely blocked during the operation.
