School community in mourning
The community of the Forestry Technical School in Brynek is struggling to come to terms with such a massive tragedy. Social media is filled with expressions of disbelief that such a tragedy could befall five young men.

“My heart broke today because the car involved was carrying five students from our Forestry Technical School in Brynek—a place I am emotionally connected to. Four were fourth-year students and one was a first-year student. We have lost wonderful young men (…) I knew three of them personally—they were amazing young people. It was an ordinary day, the car was in good working order, and the driver was over 18. They lived in the school dormitory because there are only 11 forestry technical schools in Poland; these were exceptional, passionate young people—independent, hardworking, and responsible. This should never have happened—and it is impossible to come to terms with it,” reads a post by Ms. Grażyna Klimacz.
