A series of accidents continues on Polish roads. A fatal road accident occurred in Grudna, near Bełchatów, killing a 17-year-old and a 47-year-old. A 4-year-old girl was seriously injured in the collision. The driver of a Renault, who died at the scene, allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to a 32-year-old man driving a BMW.
Fatal accident near Bełchatów
The accident occurred on Saturday, August 12, around 2:00 PM on National Road No. 74 in Grudna, near Bełchatów.
According to preliminary police reports, the driver of the Renault, a 47-year-old man, with two female passengers, ages 17 and 4, failed to yield the right-of-way to an oncoming 32-year-old man in a BMW.
Two people died. 4-Year-Old Girl in Serious Condition
As a result of this incident, the 47-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger died at the scene despite resuscitation attempts by emergency services. The 4-year-old child was transported to the hospital by air ambulance helicopter in serious condition.
“When we arrived at the scene, we had to make access to one of the occupants trapped in the vehicle. We also secured the landing area of the air ambulance helicopter,” reports the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bełchatów.
